Professional learning and development courses for mentor teachers
In 2011 the Council invited providers of mentor development programmes to contribute their details to a list on our website, which can now be accessed below.
These courses are for mentor teachers and others who are interested in developing their skills further to become effective mentor teachers.
The Council's Guidelines for Induction and Mentoring and Mentor Teachers describe best practice for the design and implementation of high quality induction and mentoring programmes, and the key skills and attributes needed to be an effective mentor. To the best of our knowledge the courses listed align with key principles of the Guidelines; however they have not formally been audited or reviewed by the Council.
