Application for Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) (TC4)

Who needs to use this application form?

Use this form if you are not eligible for registration as a teacher in New Zealand but have been offered a teaching position to teach a specific subject, in a specific school for a specific time period.

The application processing fees are:

  • for up to a 1 year LAT
    • $56.22 including GST of 15%.  If paying by credit card we will deduct the fee applicable at the time of receipt.
  • for up to a 2 year LAT*
    • $112.44 including GST of 15%.  If paying by credit card we will deduct the fee applicable at the time of receipt.
  • for up to a 3 year LAT*
    • $168.66 including GST of 15%.  If paying by credit card we will deduct the fee applicable at the time of receipt.
